Some federal funds and grants will be administered by Iowa government agencies.

In August 2022, the Inflation Reduction Act (IRA) was signed into law. The IRA is the largest climate investment in U.S. History, supporting $370 billion in programs that benefit households, businesses, and communities. Implementation of IRA programs would put the country on the path of reducing emissions 40% by 2030.

In November 2021, the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act (IIJA) was signed into law. It will invest $1.2 trillion into community infrastructure projects over the next decade.
